This is a temporary MN-based Payroll & Benefits Specialist opportunity starting ASAP, focused on payroll processing with additional benefits support.
Key Responsibilities:
This temporary role will primarily support payroll processing, with additional benefits administration coverage during a medical leave. The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will serve as the main point of contact for payroll, benefits, and basic leave-related questions in a fast-growing, high-hiring environment.
- Payroll
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Add new hires and manage employee changes in Paycom
- Ensure payroll data, deductions, and compensation details are correct
- Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related employee questions
- Benefits Administration
- Initiate benefits for new hires and support ongoing benefits administration
- Monitor and validate benefit deductions in payroll and benefits systems
- Answer employee benefits questions and coordinate with third-party benefits partners
- Work within Lattice (HRIS) to support employee data management
- Leave of Absence Support
- Provide employee support and guidance for LOA requests
- Coordinate follow-ups with third-party leave administrators (approvals handled externally)
- Help ensure leave-related data is tracked and communicated accurately
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong payroll processing experience (required)
- Paycom experience highly preferred
- Benefits administration experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with LOA processes preferred (3rd party support available)
- Lattice experience is a plus, but not required (training/support available)
- Personable, approachable, and comfortable serving as a key point of contact
